Making money by sharing your opinions

We aren’t saying this is a get rich quick scheme but it’s some extra pocket money just for answering some questions on your phone while you’re waiting for the bus or for the kids to get in from school. We spend hours a day looking at our phones or tablets so it makes sense to make a little cash out of them!

Survey Websites

YouGov offers points for completing surveys. The questions are really varied and could be about anything from who you want as the next prime minister to how many times you watch TV in a week. Once you have racked up 5000 points you can cash out £50. Most surveys are worth 50 points and can be answered within a couple of minutes.

Respondent allows users to answer questions online (and sometimes in person) for companies who pay anything from $10 up to $100 to research people’s opinions. You’ll screen for  a survey with a few questions and if you’re accepted you’ll receive a text message instructing you how to take part in the research task. Often you’ll need access to a PC/Laptop with a microphone so it’s worth bearing in mind when you are screening for surveys. Invite a few friends and you’ll get a $50 dollar referral fee once they start earning over $20.

Mobile Phone Apps

VYPR is an app that asks for your feedback to help companies to develop products that you might like to buy in the future. In return for answering questions via the app, you’ll earn Vypr points. Once you reach 10,000 points, you can cash out £5 to your PayPal account or choose to donate the money to a charity of your choice. Each question is usually a one click answer making it an easy option to use while in the supermarket queue or waiting for the kettle to boil.

CitizenMe is an app that prides itself on ‘Human Powered Data.’ CitizenMe helps people to understand themselves better through their data, and enables them to share with others on their terms, privately and securely. As a result, brands and researchers can now talk directly to digital citizens through trusted, AI enabled, data conversations, in real-time. You are free to answer as many or as little questions as you like and you are paid individually for each survey instantly via PayPal.
